When i started my business, i really didn’t know how to go about it especially online. It was an “Anything goes” for me. The result was devastating. It was not surprising because i knew there was an Art and Science to it. I went searching and what i found was so simple. I was already doing most of them but wasn’t doing it the right way.
Here are some of the things i started doing that created the right momentum for me especially on social media.
Create a piece of content daily that provides value in someway
I am sure you probably hear this often but its really as simple as sharing tips, advice, lessons, experiences etc. You have to showcase your personality for people to know the real you. Make them laugh, make them cry, make them think, motivate them etc. Videos have been the most effective way to create content and build an audience. If you are “camera shy” you can make it up with other types of contents but i strongly recommend videos especially lives.
Connect with as many people as possible
Talk to people, before you start marketing, be a human first! Build rapport by asking them how they are and what they have been up to. Don’t just throw your sales pitch at people without showing them that you really care about them. However, don’t build rapport for ever. Be a professional conversation starter. Phone calls are great but you can actually build lots of great relationships using Facebook messenger , Instagram DM’s etc
Training and Personal development
This is something that you should actually do everyday. Plug into training and personal developments every single day no matter what. You need lots of education and inspiration especially when you are new. I make sure to have this on my “to do” list daily. You can never know enough. “Work harder on yourself than you do on your job”.
Engage, engage and engage
A lot of times, we just go on social media and post expecting likes and comments, we come back hours or even days later, yet no engagement. If you want more likes and comments, you have to give more likes and comments. Take at least 15 minutes minimum everyday to comment on other people’s posts and create conversations especially on Facebook. Don’t just drop one line comments, write at least one sentence.
Master the skills for your business
In network marketing, you need to master the art and science of prospecting, recruiting, follow up, closing and sales. These are activities you must be doing every single day. When you are new, leverage on your upline especially when it comes to closing. Too many times, we focus on the irrelevant things. Focus on the big picture and consistently expose new people to your presentation everyday! Introduce anyone with decent interest to your upline if you are yet to master the skills.
These tips have been helping me create momentum everyday in my business. Remember, you need to keep filling your funnels with prospects because most times it takes at lease 5 exposures for one prospect to say YES. Don’t forget, CONSISTENCY is the KEY to RESULTS.
